Markandeya Hill Kolar

Hello All,

Hope you all are fine in this so difficult time. It is fully understood the perils of this prolonged lockdown. No gym, no outing, no yoga, no pub, no wandering. Confining into the house and continue doing the house chores restlessly day after day.

So once the lockdown is over, we can not anymore restrained ourselves and delve into a quicky outings to the  Markandeya Hill. It is situated at Kolar district in Bangalore. The day was sunny, so it was pure fun.

It's an easy drive from Bangalore. You need to follow the AH75, the road going towards Kolar/Mulbagal area. But remember, you should not take the Kolar flyover! Rather just before the Kolar flyover over AH75, just take the service road, take a u turn in the next underpass, come to the other side and take the first left. It's a narrow road. But the size does not always matter ;) So keep asking people or use Google map to reach the destination. It's the state highway amids lash greens and little bumpy, forest road. The road condition is awesome.

Make sure you carry your own food, beverages (if you like in the hill top or in hill slope ;)) and water. There is no shop nearby. Also start with full tank. There is a small petrol bunk nearby the Markandeya hill. But no toilets.

It's an awesome ride. The beauty on the top of the hill is breath taking, the whole Kolar city is visible. There is a temple also atop for those who are religious. And there is no restrictions as such. So if you are going by a car and want to open up your beer bottles atop the hill - none is there to stop you ;) However there is a temple, so better to step down from the hill (there is a nice stair case down) where there are no onlookers other than some monkeys. Not sure if monkeys will also want to get tipsy with you ;)

What else, It's Puri again

Hello All Guys,

Happy New Year 2020!

Last weekend, the last weekend of 2019, we were at Puri. You may ask rightly -- what's there in Puri? Well: guys - we love Puri. Did not had any other plan. So "planned" for Puri.

Actually this time, it was not as bad as last time. This time we had bookings in advanced. But only for 2 days. So we spend mostly in the beach -- to bath et. al. Some of our Puri Trip pictures from this trip:

Again: Happy New Year 2020.

Warm Regards and Best Wishes,
